Rhetorical Analysis Advertisement

Environmentalist Advertisement:

In this advertisement, there are progressive pictures of an exhaust pipe with a balloon on the end of it being filled with carbon dioxide emissions until the balloon eventually explodes. The point of this advertisement is to bring awareness to the general public-especially people who drive cars-that car emissions are very hazardous to the environment and are destroying the planet.
The logos in this particular advertisement is that it is harmful to the planet to drive cars with terrible emissions, to get the checked regularly, or use other modes of transportation if available to reduce the amount of pollution being emitted into the atmosphere. The ethos in this advertisement sends a message to the viewer that it is ethically wrong to pollute the environment and that everyone should do what they can to cut down on the amount of exhaust being emitted by their cars. The pathos in the advertisement can give the audience a feeling of sympathy and remorse for letting the problem of pollution to progress so much that it is destrying our planet.
